Strengthening resilience has become a critically important strategy for improving personal health, mindfulness, and wellbeing. Building resilience is possible using HeartMath® Techniques which are simple, highly effective, evidence-based techniques that can be used anywhere, anytime, to calm reactive emotions and take the stress out of the moment.

HeartMath tools and techniques are designed to support the individual, Wendy will encourage you to address the effects of stress and fatigue on three levels–emotional, mental and physical. She will help to provide a structured means to renew energy, think more clearly, make smarter choices, and improve your quality of life.

To do this Wendy will measure your Heart Rate Variability and make an assessment of your deep breathing. This will show you your level of stress and wellbeing as measured on the computer using the HeartMath emWave® Pro Plus Programme.

Utilizing HeartMath’s science-based techniques and technology, and her own life experience, Wendy aims to empower you, increase your self-awareness to make different, healthier choices.. She will share her knowledge on ‘how you can choose to’ diminish the effects of stress by integrating a personalized practice plan into your daily routines.

By introducing these skills to aid you with mindfulness, authenticity, response-ability and communication, Wendy seeks to enable you to thrive in environments of change, challenge and adversity.

Although the effects of stressors and adversities don’t suddenly disappear, it is demonstrably possible to reset our capacity for resilience and to significantly reduce the negative influence of external events and circumstances. Utilizing simple, evidence-based techniques and technology that can be used anytime, anywhere, we can calm reactive emotions and neutralize stress in-the-moment when it is needed.

This is a powerful, effective way to incorporate resilience building skills into your personal routine, specific to your personal goals.

This system of HeartMath tools and techniques can change the way your body’s physiology responds in stressful situations. With practice, your automatic stress reactions and your learnt behavioural patterns will no longer dictate how you feel, react or perform, whether personally or professionally. You will discover a more coherent way of responding.

A 6 to 8 session commitment to discovery, learning and practicing this skill set is recommended for the best effectiveness.  

One hour sessions are scheduled one to two weeks apart. You will receive step-by-step techniques, and exercises for exploration between sessions. We will do a HRV (heart rate variability breathing assessment) on the computer emWave Pro Programme at the beginning and at the completion of your sessions. This measured assessment is used to track your personal progress and achievement of your goals.

Each person resonates differently with resilience concepts and techniques. Your sessions are unique to you, exploring individual interests and needs, discovering how building capacity for resilience can make a difference and positive impact in your everyday life.
